Has anyone else experienced really terrible service from kiwi.com?
I have lost,+£500.00 in airfares earlier this year. Long story, but basically part of my itinerary was changed due to Covid and I cancelled part of the trip. Kiwi initially seemed helpful, however now that travel date has passed, I can get no response from Kiwi.com. I did book this with my credit card is it worth putting a claim in with the card company?
I would avoid using or recommending kiwi.com to anyone booking air travel

Kiwi often cobble together separate tickets (definitely not recommended during a pandemic with many cancellations and rescheduled) so the cancellation of one leg can cause many issues if the other flights are operating as scheduled. Have you spoken to the airline of the cancelled flight to confirm if kiwi requested and received a refund? There will likely be no refund for the flights that you cancelled as most tickets sold by them are non-refundable. Had you booked directly with the airline(s) you may have been able to organise future credit but as you chose to book with kiwi you would needed to have requested that through them (if indeed the airline concerned offered that) you may also want to take note of the kiwi fees in their t&cs
Unfortunately you chose a very poor third party and there have been warnings going back many years0 -
Did you book transferrable tickets? If you cancelled part of the trip. Cost will be most likely borne by you.0

Many, many threads on the Tripadvisor Air Travel board complaining about this company, some going back years and running into hundreds of pages = thousands of posts.Essex_lass said:Has anyone else experienced really terrible service from kiwi.com?

There's one on the first page right now dating back 4 years.
Did you do any research before booking with them?

I wouldn't waste more of your time trying to figure out of Kiwi got a refund or not, just tell your card provider that they have failed to issue a refund and you want to do a chargeback.
Got a full refund that way after the company I used failed to provide a refund in good time and stopped responding to emails. They didn't dispute it.1 -
But would the OP be entitled to a refund? If the flights were on, then I suspect not - they also cancelled some of them - not the Tour Operator.[Deleted User] said:I wouldn't waste more of your time trying to figure out of Kiwi got a refund or not, just tell your card provider that they have failed to issue a refund and you want to do a chargeback.

Agreed. Why should you chase this company any more?[Deleted User] said:I wouldn't waste more of your time trying to figure out of Kiwi got a refund or not, just tell your card provider that they have failed to issue a refund and you want to do a chargeback.

At the very worst by putting in a chargeback you'll get them back communicating with you again.0
