Fabb not so Fabb

Ordered a sofa in May 21. Delivery estimated August. No delivery told of a delay until Sept 21. Now being told Oct.
the store has a no cancel policy and is refusing to refund me but says I can have £50 as a gesture
surely I can get a refund as the delay is now unreasonable?

That depends.  Did you make clear that time was of the essence?  A two month delay on a furniture order, with everything being as it is with the pandemic, Brexit, driver shortages, etc., is not unreasonable in my opinion.

You can ask for a refund, but I don't think they're being unreasonable for not giving you one.  Yet.  Presumably you still need a sofa?  Are you likely to be able to get one before October if you start from scratch?

There are many companies that I could order from for a quick delivery.
I was given an estimate of 12 weeks IF it turns up inOctober that will have been 20 weeks. I guess according to your response I should wait indefinitely? Or when would you say would be better unreasonable

Have you checked that you will receive it quickly. There are many complaints about many companies advertising quick delivery but it doesn't happen.
