Derogatory mark

As above I have one on my otherwise blemish free credit karma score I think it's from a credit card default that cleared from my file in May? It was a debt that was passed on several times and I was unable to settle it as nobody would admit ownership. How do I find out if this is it and if so get it removed?

If the default has cleared from your file, there is nothing to remove.
The entry would have shown who applied the default and yiu could have traced the current owner from there.0 -
Do you have access to your credit report? You can usually do this via a free sign up. Use Experian or Equifax. Also my bank gives me free access to my credit report via my mobile app.0

First you say there`s a derogatory remark on your credit, then you say it cleared, so which is it ?
What is this derogatory remark, what does it say ?
If the entry has cleared from your file, nothing should be showing.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Ignore the score and focus on the underlying data. Confirm if this "mark" is on your files by requesting copies of your statutory credit reports directly from the 3 CRAs - Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. You need to check all 3 to be sure nothing incorrect is being reported.

I've checked all three CRAs the "remark" only shows on transunion but there is no indication who has put it there I have no ccjs or defaults showing. I have emailed them to try to find out what it's for or for them to remove it but I've had no response or enen an acknowledgement.0

Absolutely nothing showing apart from on the how to improve section it says "derogatory mark" with no indication what it is.0

Any default should be removed 6 years after it went on, it cannot be added back or reported again after 6 years so if you are confident it was more than 6 years, you can raise a dispute with the agency0
