Must be relatively recent - I had email exchanges with them in Feb. querying the info. on the website; they confirmed that they still required manual meter reads and that they weren't planning to start installs til the end of 2021.[Deleted User] said:
Yes, they can. I switched to them 10 days ago. They applied their security certificates to the meters by 8am and had a validated smart meter reading 2 hours later. My Final Statement from my old supplier was emailed to me the following day.brewerdave said:Zog aren't installing SMETS2 currently and (as far as I'm aware) can't read them.0 -
All suppliers were required to become DCC Users early last year. A number of those who didn’t were sanctioned by Ofgem. Being a DCC User isn’t the same as the requirement to fit smart meters. I should imagine that Zog is getting a large number of SMETS2 customers through churn.brewerdave said:

Have you spoken to the Octopus smart team? I found general customer service to be a bit unhelpful with smart meter queries but managed to get my problems solved by contacting smart@octopus.energy0

Yes, spoke with the smart meter team via email. They made attempts to force the gas meter to connect but without any success.BeerSavesMoney said:Have you spoken to the Octopus smart team?
