Wood worm/furniture beetles

Recently moved into house with lots of oak - kitchen worktops, wardrobe doors, internal doors etc.  All very nice but...

Over 5 or 6 days, I've noticed 2 or 3 little piles of frass on the tiles in the kitchen diner. There are 2 small patches of tiny bore holes on the underside of the oak breakfast bar.
I can't see any evidence elsewhere but obviously I don't want this to spread to other surfaces, or to the new oak dining furniture we've just bought!

I'm hoping I can treat this myself and as its such a tiny area, was considering this which I've seen recommended.

I would only treat the underside of the worktop. Would that be enough to cure the problem?
Grateful for any advice

It has high concentrate of Permethrin and a number of ways to apply it so I reckon that's a good idea.
Also try searching for the best time to treat. Used to be March time when the grubs emerge but in these days of house heating and it being a kitchen that may not apply.
I've not known of them infesting kitchen units but interesting. I've used the Rentokil diy woodworm treatment which seems to do the trick but you need to keep an eye in future as the beetles may return to lay their grubs again.
This is an interesting blog on the subject
I was intrested in the vapour strip fly traps. Something you could cut to fit and leave

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

    Thank you

I've ordered some. Don't want to wait until March though as I'm really concerned about possible spread to all the other oak  (installed 5 - 6 years ago) in the house.

Now to find a non standard size/shape toilet seat to fit an unknown brand. Oh, the joys of moving house :*
