I'm Confused
Can anyone help please?
The thing is my subscription to Norton Internet Security 2007 runs out next month, and i cant afford to upgrade to 2008 (even at half price).
My friends just bought a Norton 360 disc............
If i was to unistall Internet Security and Install 360, would i be missing any major features.....?
Would My computer be more vunerable to attack?
Sorry i'm not very 'techie' so would appreciate comments.
Cheers

Why go to norton, when you can get free stuff that may even work better?
The big problem you will probably encounter with norton is the removal of it. It has to be uninstalled in a certain way, or it will mess up your PC. Search through his forum for unistallation advice before you attempt it. It is harder to get rid of than most Viruses!
Tips for this are on other posts like this one http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=3356GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.

Have you thought about using free antivirus software? I don't know how daunting the sticky thread at the top is if you're not really into forums (I go on forums all the time but I do find over long threads daunting.)
I use free antivirus software and haven't had any problems and my boyfriend is a technician and he recommends it, especially over Norton. He says AVG is the best but everyone seems to have different opinions.
Oh - and to remove Norton (any version) make sure you type "Norton Removal Tool" into Google and download and use that - even if you decide to install another version of Norton, do this first.I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right0 -
norton plague like avoid the .....re-arrange to make a sentence0

This page shows the differences:

But, as previously suggested, I would remove Norton altogether and replace it with either AVG Free (http://free.grisoft.com/) or AntiVir (http://www.free-av.com/) to protect you from viruses.
Then get the Comodo Firewall (http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/) along with Spybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/) and SpywareBlaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html).
That should be pretty much all the protection you need.0 -
Avast Home Edition and Zonealarm Firewall you will not go wrong with these installed and both are free
