Should I cancel my other credit cards or will having access to additional credit 'help' me?

So I recently cleared off one of my credit cards! (hooray!)
This card (Halifax) has a 7k credit limit, I have another card (MBNA) with just under 6k of debt on it, I planned to transfer this debt over to the now empty credit card but the balance transfer offer they had was 15 months at 0% with a 5% charge, this seemed high so I shopped around and was approved for a Virgin Money card at 0% for 29 months and a 2.7% fee making the total owed around £6k, I'll be transferring the balance over to this card and paying it off at around £210 a month.
Previously I was paying £200 a month on the halifax card and £150 on the MBNA so I've technically saved myself £140 a month by moving my finances around
My dilemma is what to do with the other cards, the new card has a 7k credit limit as does both of the now empty credit cards, I presume this means I have around 15k of credit at my disposal right now, but would closing this accounts be better for my score than leaving the cards empty?
Thoughts please.
Thank you

The score isn't important. What matters is how you manage the accounts. With so few cards, keep them all and show that you can be trusted with credit.
Use each regularly and clear in full each month.0 -
Well done for paying off your first credit card!Keep them open, use wisely and often (rotate from month to month, if necessary), set up to pay the statement balance, in full by direct debit and benefit from the continuing good account history of both cards.By keeping the cards it will help with your overall debt to available credit total. If you think that you will run up further debt on the now empty cards then I would either cut them up or close them but keeping them both open and using wisely, is preferable.0
