HI ,
just needed to moan ,i bought a laptop from asda.com for my daughter for christmas,once i unpacked it and set up i noticed it came with vista basic and not vista buisness as stated i feel robbed i have emailed them but as yet not recieved a reply,but i did notice they have changed the listing to vista basic on there website,does anyboby where i stand on this matter

I feel sure that if you took it back and explained they would give you a refund... wether they are legally obliged I am not sure.... they are usually pretty good about things whenever I have not been happy with the purchase...

thanks for the reply.i really do not want to send it back as i have set it all up now to my main computer installed all the programs and anti virus now ready for christmas day,i am just annoyed as i know vista buisness is more expensive than the basic and the main reason i got the laptop from asda was due to the vista buisness package

You cant have it both ways, you either want it or you dont

Setting it all up etc is implied acceptance

Your best bet is to try and get them to give you microsoft office free I reckon

At least,I would say to them that you expect the difference in price between the 2 editions to be refunded to you.

have you got any proof, like from an email or web page that says that it does come with the business package that you can back yourself up with? Hope you get something sorted with it

just spoken to one of the asda managers who was very helpfull explained how the error occured,and offered me a full refund on the item cant say fairer than that well done asda :T

hi all,
i decided to keep the laptop that i recieved as its to near to christmas to start messing about sending it back to try and find another one,but i could of had a full refund ,it was the supplier that gave asda the wrong information on the product,and its the season of goodwill and all that,and everyone can make mistakes .
