Rights regarding Electric wooden Pole.

About 4 years ago I had a Electric pole placed on my property, I bought this pole outright and paid just over £1300 for it's install. Now BT has turned up to the neighbours house and had tried to attach the line to my pole. I went out and asked them what they were doing and told them to stop as i owned the pole outright. the pole is on my property boundary but clearly my side of it. i can't claim easement for the pole of the scottish power as they say, i own the pole. I checked the documents relating to the sale and install of the pole and it states i am purchasing it outright. What are my rights? can BT use it for a telephone/broadband line?

What if they come back when i'm not in. do i have the right to remove it? did i have the right

Thanks in advance.

It's yours - tell them to take a running jump -   unless they want to pay handsomely for the privilege.

BT/Openreach are very used to an attachment agreement -  where BT can attach to an Utilities electricity pole and vice versa electric can attach to a BT pole - but the process is not automatic and they must seek consent.##. They would also be used to poles on private land being subject to the landowners consent with a wayleave or easement.
