DCB Legal / Highview Parking Limited

Hello. I've received a 'Letter of Claim' dated 26/07/2021 from DCB Legal on behalf of their client Highview Parking Limited relating to an unpaid parking charge going back to January 2020. I've only just taken receipt of this as it was at my old house and the new occupiers hadn't forwarded it onto our new address. Up until now I've ignored the letters I got previously, which, after reading this forum, I'm now aware I shouldn't have done, so could do with some help with what I need to do going forward. The only action I've taken so far is to send a message through the DCB Legal website to ask them to change the address they have on record for me.
For context, the charge relates to a retail park in Manchester city centre where there's a 2 hour parking limit. I'm not sure how long I exceeded the limit by but I visited two of the stores there, one of which is Aldi where I did a weekly shop.

You should inform the DPO of the PPC (Highview) of your new address for service and require them to erase your old data, also to inform all and every one of their agents and subcontractors. Presumably you have not received any PCN or NTK, in which case submit a SAR to the DPO of Highview requesting all data the hold on you (after you've done the COA). Also make sure you have updated your V5C and driving licence with DVLA.3

Thanks Le_Kirk, I'll email the PPC now.Le_Kirk said:You should inform the DPO of the PPC (Highview) of your new address for service and require them to erase your old data, also to inform all and every one of their agents and subcontractors. V5C and driving licence were updated when I moved, although I no longer actually own the car in question.0 -
Then do the rectification notice to the DPO at group Nexus , followed by a SAR to the DPO at Group Nexus
Reply to Dcb legal with the 30 day hold
Then prepare for a court claim pack from the CCBC in Northampton next Month2 -
Thanks Redx. Should I search for an email address specific to the DPO, or can I just send to the appeals@ address and mark for the attention of the DPO?Redx said:Then do the rectification notice to the DPO at group Nexus , followed by a SAR to the DPO at Group Nexus

Use the email address on their privacy page , same as every other company
It's a Data issue , nothing to do with Parking , a GDPR law requirement2 -
This has been used for Group Nexus: -

Read loads of Highview court claim threads, as you will be able to pretty much copy a Highview defence done earlier this Summer. There were shedloads.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi D_P_Dance, thanks for the response. No, this is the first action I've taken (updating my address with them and asking for advice on here), as I only received the 'Letter of Claim' this morning. Having written to my MP in the past (a long time ago tbf), I'm not sure their response would be timely enough to stop this going to court.D_P_Dance said:Have you complained to your MP?0
