TicketMaster Claims

Has anyone followed up on the companies saying they cam claim for you if your data was involved in the TicketMaster hack back in 2018 please?
- was it successful? what's the expected compensation? etc please
I've got the email they all ask for confirming my data was involved but I've never trusted any of these no-win-no-fee companies before. I always fear that I'm just giving my data to another dodgy company!
My bank did intercept some transactions and sent me a new card but I've no idea when this was and I'd struggle to confirm this was linked to Ticketmaster.
Just curious, cheers!

Some people will have, yes.fuctifano said:Has anyone followed up on the companies saying they cam claim for you if your data was involved in the TicketMaster hack back in 2018 please?
That depends how you regard success, the claims companies will have made money out of it, the individuals will have probably ended up having to pay fees to the claims fees. The expected compensation would be zero, unless you can show that you suffered a material loss due to the data loss, which is at best very unlikely.fuctifano said:- was it successful? what's the expected compensation? etc please
You would be giving your data to a dodgy company and their "no win, no fee" model is not always "free", they will find a way to get money out of you "eg. claim insurance etc." and the claim will not succeed.fuctifano said:I've got the email they all ask for confirming my data was involved but I've never trusted any of these no-win-no-fee companies before. That is the point, you would need to show a direct link. Also your bank blocked the transactions so you suffered no material loss, therefore you are not entitled to any compensation.fuctifano said:My bank did intercept some transactions and sent me a new card but I've no idea when this was and I'd struggle to confirm this was linked to Ticketmaster.
Hmm... "just curious" as an intellectual curiosity, or "just curious" in relation to compensation culture?fuctifano said:Just curious, cheers!
