Cameron Homes Optional Extras

Hi,
Myself and SO will be purchasing a Cameron Galliers home next year. We understand we can purchase optional extras but have no idea of cost etc. As a result of this we have no idea what to budget for? Does anyone have an idea of how much they cost? ie tiled floors, carpets, turf etc
thanks

Presumably this is a brand new house that's in the process of being built? For costs, you'll need to speak to the developer/agent, they should have price lists available. It's worth looking at what the builders will charge for each "extra", and compare it with the cost of adding it yourself later. Yes, it's a bit more hassle to add carpets for instance after you've moved in, but if there's a big cost difference then it might make sense.2

Only the developer can tell you the cost of items which are 'optional extras' during building. Without knowing the size of the property and the type/quality of these items nobody here can even make an educated guess.

Normally developers are quick to stick a list under your nose; its best to have an idea well before exchanging but the reality is that you will only get to pick what you want after that time, ahead of the second fix.NickyMarshall1974 said:Hi,

Unless you really hate the fittings on offer I would go with the choice, there are usually a standard and upgraded selections and the workmanship is covered. New builds are often bought by those naive to maintenance / DIY, so unless you know good tradespeople and are willing to either delay your move into the property or live with a bit if disruption I probably wouldn't go down this route.
Whatever you decide, buying your new home is an exciting time, so enjoy it!
Eta: the price charged for tiles, carpets and landscaping were silly when I bought a new build 20 years ago, so I did this independently. But I left the kitchen and bathroom installations to the developer. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0
