Covid Cancellation insurance for UK holiday

We're going on a self-catering holiday to Cornwall in the half term and although our accommodation will refund if there are covid restrictions that mean we cannot travel or stay there it doesn't cover us if we can't go because one of us has tested covid positive and can't go. The accommodation doesn't allow people to stay if they are covid positive (and if you become so while away you have to leave immediately)

All we need is some insurance so we can claim back the cost of the accommodation should this happen, we don't need all the other bells and whistles that come with travel insurance. Anyone know of any policies like this?

But if you are positive shouldn't you be isolating where you are rather travelling around the country??  At least until you aren't contagious.

Of course if you are honestly sick you might want to go home anyways and abandon your holiday.

Out of interest, how would they know you tested Covid positive during your stay? It’s self-catering so no risk to anyone else.

Staysure offer covid cover in certain circumstances. Check them out to see if it covers what you want.
