Changing a clutch pedal, easy/hard?

So I have established the vehicle I'm working on has a clutch pedal without a bracket/holder for a position sensor. Without this the cruise control I'm retrofitting will not work. I have managed to get hold a replacement clutch pedal from a breaker's yard. If I can't remove the bracket from the donor pedal, I'll have to fit the donor pedal instead. There's two bolts (easy) but there's also a plastic connection for the actuator/linkage arm. Is the arm easy to get off? I'm just wondering if it might be a hydraulic system that's self adjusting somehow?

Make one up? How. Plus it's very tight under the dash. Replacement pedal was only £25!

Look on YouTube for your model of car.

I changed one on a Nissan Note and it was very easy - 3 bolts and then lever off the plastic linkage which then popped back on the new one. If the linkage works loose there's often a fix using cable ties.

I've no idea how garages do it, but getting to the top bolt that fixes on to the chassis was a NIGHTMARE. I could only barely fit a spanner (plus my wrist up there) and I was on my shoulder on the footwell. My wrist is very sore from trying to fight gravity and negotiate all the sharp bits of metal. Excruciating. Must have taken 30 minutes of pain just to loosen up that last upper bolt for me to finger it off. I thought I was going to go crazy and rip the whole dash off.
