Bought an Ebay item Tuesday evening for £2.85 and it stated delivery Thursday 2nd. Received despatch e-mail this afternoon and it is being sent RM SD 1PM. What is that all about ?

Maybe someone used "Sell one like this" and didn't change postage option?0

Or they sent the message to the wrong buyer. Sold something else and posted that SD?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Just checked the listing and it does state SD. Not really a way to run a business is it !

In the past I’ve had several 99p and thereabouts items sent signed for, in most cases the postage didn’t even cover the postage costs let alone any fees. I’ve never understood it .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Maybe just a listing mistake and therefore protecting their account by honouring the delivery method stated and taking the hit themselves.0

They sent it by Royal Mail, Special delivery to reach you by 1pm Thursday? I don't understand what's wrong with that. Seems like they received your order, went to the post office today and then sent you an email.
So you should get the item tomorrow before 1pm. I don't see a problem? Or am I being doubly thick? (Please don't answer that!)
PS Edit - if it's someone running a business, they can get deals with RM for delivery. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Not a profitable one. I've had books I've considered listing but the same books are for sale with free postage for less than I could post them for.
