EU driving licence to UK driving licence exchange
I am considering to change my EU driving licence to UK one mainly for having additional ID with the address.
A few questions:
- Is there any way to keep the old one (for sentimental reasons)
-Any potential issues with insurance regarding the date f the document?
-Is it worth it as after Brexit your EU driving licence seems to be more valuable if you want to drive while abroad?
-How long I might wait for a new one to be sent to me?
Thanks

Is the address on your old licence still a valid current contact address for you?lycane said:I am considering to change my EU driving licence to UK one mainly for having additional ID with the address.

If not, there's no question that you HAVE to change it... and since your current address is in the UK, you need to change it to a UK licence.
No, there's no way to keep the old one - you call it sentimental, but it may be misused.
No, there's no issues so long as you're honest with your insurer about dates.
The main issue with UK licences in the EU/EEA post-Brexit is tied in with UK nationals not being able to be in Shengen for more than 90 days... That apart, they're valid unless you're going to be there for years.
Ah, now there's the question, with DVLA's current delays.0 -
There is no requirement to have a valid address for the driving licence in the country my driving licence was issued, it is still valid, so thus valid in the UK as well.AdrianC said:

Regarding driving outside the UK you need IDP unless they changed it, you do not need it if you have EU driving licence.
In terms of the insurer I've read sometimes you might loose years of driving experience as they can take the date of issuing a new document , not the date you started driving.
For having your old document I've read people can do it (keep it) when they have Australian driving licence0 -
