Can I buy the Day 2 Test for my Mum travelling to UK

Hello there,
I'm probably just hard of thinking here, but...
[Context: I've got my elderly mum (double vaccinated) finally coming to visit us (in England) from Germany on the 12/09 (YAY!). She's not really fluent in English so–in order to make things as easy as possible for her–I said I'll do all the covid-related stuff…how hard can it be, right?!?]
...I'm trying to order and pay for my mum's Day 2 Covid Tests, to be delivered to my UK address. I'm just not entirely sure whether
the purchase of the test (I'm looking at Randox atm) and using my email address for confirmation then somehow links the email address/my name to the test (i.e. is it possible to buy a Day 2 Test for someone else using all your own details, or should one use the "testee's" email address (WOW! That sounds a bit wrong!) email address for confirmation?
Are there any (other) pitfalls I should be aware of? I just want her everything to go as smoothly as possible and for her to enjoy her time with the (great-)grandkids.

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

I ordered two tests from Randox using my email address for my partner and I .   When you take the test you have to register it. So I used my email again for us both as my partner does not have an email address. I would assume that you can order and pay for it and register it using which ever email you want to.
If you use Twitter you can send them a message and they will message back, I found them really helpful and they replied pretty quickly when I sent any messages to them.
     Hope that helps  :)
  • Yes , you can buy it for her . You can also complete the passenger locator form for her , put your phone number on it as a contact number as she’s staying with you . Send her the form to print out .
Make sure she has proof of her negative covid test , her passenger locator form , and a proof of her Day 2 test easily to hand ( not in hold luggage )
She can show these from her phone but it will probably  be easier for her if she has paper copies that she can show ( in case she can’t understand what she’s being asked to provide or can’t find them on her phone, battery goes flat etc)
She will also need to show the proof that she’s double vaccinated .
Just in case she can’t understand what she’s being asked at UK Immigration, write a note with your name and phone number on it - they can call you and you can interpret for your Mum. It’s unlikely but this way you’ll have everything covered .
Make sure your Mums phone is fully charged in case of long queues at the airport so she can contact you easily.
Hope you all have a great reunion.

If it would help you can arrange airport assistance to help her   through border control.  Details will be on the airport website.
