Hi,
I bought a pair of junior size pants on JD online and unfortunately lost the receipt that came with the parcel. Someone took it to the store for me and they told him they need the receipt. Under consumer acts what are my rights, will I be able to get a refund. I would appreciate some help as the pants cost quite alot.
Thanks

If you bought online can you not get a copy of the order?1

Here's JD's return details.

Note they say receipt or despatch note but note the 14 day limit. Otherwise do the online return via Asda etc.1 -
You need proof of purchase such as receipt or dispatch note. Other proof of purchase could be accepted
A refund must be claimed within 14 days.
You can get an exchange up to 28 days1 -
Assuming JD provide the information about the 14 day limit correctly as part of the online order process then if you are between 14 and 28 days you can exchange for something else (which is store policy beyond your statutory rights) otherwise you have no right to return on a change of mind basis1

Did you read the instructions under the return via Asda details? They provide a QR code which you need to show at the store.
There are also a number of other methods to return the item but all a little moot as you are in exchange territory now. I'd be doing this in store with the order details which would have been sent to you by email so you can choose an exchange item.0 -

You don't say WHY you are returning them ? Are they faulty in some way or simply not wanted ....
