Hi,
some places like theatres and other venues that ask for  Covid test, is the lateral flow kit test that can be picked up for free at pharmacies enough?

Does the results show up on the NHS app after reporting the results? immediately or not?

It will depend on the venue.
They don't show up automatically on the NDH Covid App, you have to input the details yourself.

However, provided that you have give a mobile number and/or email address when you log the result of the test, you do get a text / email almost immediately confirming the LFT result

ah ok, so on the NHS app won't appear, just an email/text instead. Because on the NHS app I can't input any test results myself, there is no such an option

    If you head here -
    https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result
You can report your lateral flow, and as long as you give your details (and NHS number) it shows up in your app as an NHS covid pass a few minutes to a few hours later.

My lateral flow results show on the NHS app. You report on the government website and it links through to your NHS record.

You can then generate a venue pass on the NHS app if you are either fully vaccinated or negative lateral flow within 24 hours.
