If its for use at home by the same child you can air the duvet, wash the covers and just put it back on, a bit of staining isn't the end of the world. But in a hotel, most people would rather not have a stained duvet!2 -
Difference in interpretation then - I was understanding bed linen as cover and sheets, not the duvet itself. Although I put my duvet through the wash every 6 months and it hasn't affected it as far as I can tell.
Academic now though, as the OP appears to be not coming back. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I can't see why the duvet wasn't washed or bedding, it might be they were but there was an extra charge from the company who clean them?Sure I read that the person who soiled the bed admitted it. At the end of the day, this is almost like a parcel delivery. The booking is with the Op and Hotel so this is the only way the hotel can claim damages. Having said that, if the incident was disclosed and attempts made to minimise the mess would this have reached this point?May you find your sister soon Helli.
