What do I tell the DVLA?
Sorry if the category isn't really appropriate, but it was the closest I could find. One of the items I may 'inherit' with the house purchase we are making is the previous owner's - now deceased - car. Any idea how I would go about squaring this with DVLA? Had a look on their site, there's nothing that looks to fit this scenario. MTIA, John G

Yes, you will need to become the registered keeper. You will need to fill out form V62.1

The seller of the house should have the V5. Ask them to fill in the details and submit online to take ownership of the car.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

Or, as @neilmcl suggests, a V62.

Not quick, especially at the moment.0 -
So who is the OP buying the house from? A ghost? 🙄 (Clue: the person selling the house - likely the executor - will probably also have access to other relevant paperwork - such as the V5)Jenni x3

Is this some new kind of "bogof" deal? Buy a house and get a free car thrown in?0
