Small business gas meter installation

We've just moved into a small high street shop. The property has a gas supply and MPRN number but no meter installed. I am having a real problem trying to get any progress from utility providers on meter install to get a new account set up. EDF Business say they can't install non domestic meters. E.On sent me an application form that was returned but I'm not getting any response to it even after chasing up twice. Has anybody been through this process recently that can make some suggestions for the best way to go about this?
Thanks

Contacted British Gas Lite and was told this isn't a service they offer either.0

I've no experience of this at all, but there is a long thread hereIt may be best to start at the end and work back for more recent posts.

Getting a new commercial connection or meter | British Gas business
Its been many years since I worked in utilities but back then all meter work was done by the distribution/infrastructure arm of the areas pre-opening up of the energy supply company... so for gas it was almost always British Gas
Certainly the above link says they are the ones to discuss it with but its not a quick process!0
