Sell the car to WBAC and buy a runabout with the £4.2K equity if needs be. Lots of decent cars out there for that sort of money.CoastingHatbox said:For the curious:
WBAC figure is £20,800 and would net us £4.2k over the finance settlement figure

Thats a two edged sword. Higher values mean a higher threshold before being written off. Any they do write off they'll sell for salvage which will be worth more anyway.CoastingHatbox said:In all seriousness, I wonder what is going on with insurers when vehicles are written off. Are they still paying old market values?
Granted, not necessarily a brilliant time for them generally, but they'll still pay out current market value.0 -
While you will get more than you paid for it. Unless you are prepared to wait till prices drop, you are going to be paying more for you next one & then lose a lot more on that when they do drop.k3lvc said:I'm in a similar situation - supplying Mini dealer rang me and offered nearly £2k more than I paid 18m ago - my issue is I'd be picky about what I replaced it with and nothing's come up in the past weeks.
If you're looking to down-trade and don't need the Mini any more then have a look on Mini FB pages - there's a couple of people (Supermini/Batchelors) who might snap your hand off for it
Better to stay as you are if you are happy.👍Life in the slow lane0 -
And for once, with my sensible head on, that's exactly what I'm doing. Driving has changed to be much more pleasure than business and little can match my JCW for the fun factorborn_again said:
