Insurance Question

Both of our cats are insured with Petplan. Had to claim for youngest a couple of times when he got injured. Eldest is 9 years old and only been insured 2 years - no claims. He has an 'innocent' heart murmur which won't be covered. He's been throwing up lately, every now and then. Weight is maintained and he only does this when he's eaten a mouse. I have the privilege of cleaning it up so I know it's a mouse he's eaten. If I know what's causing him to vomit (the mice he eats), should he still get scanned etc? Would this be covered under insurance?

You should discuss with your vet whether a scan should be done, especially if he has a heart murmur.

Whether insurance covered  it will depend on the cause and your policy.
