Hello,
We were former Green Network Energy customers, and we were swapped over to EDF. We've always applied for WHD and received it as part of the broader group (PIP, income support, carer's allowance).
The tariff that we were put on by EDF runs out at the end of September, and so we've been invited to either sign up with them or look around. What I am unsure about is whether there is a cut off date for the broader group like there is for the core group, namely around the 5th July, you must be a customer with the provider through whom you wish to apply for WHD.....and if there is, then it means that we're in a dilemma that's not of our own making, but because of GNE going out of business. Our previous contract date was April, so this hasn't been an issue before.
I have written to Ofgem to ask, but I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on this here?
Oh, we did eventually get WHD that we had applied for through GNE from EDF - in May - and that took A LOT of nagging, for the want of a better word.
Thank you.
