    For me its absolute. I am happy to spend with gay abandon in some areas but 2 things I really dislike spending on are groceries and utilities. I want my money to go a long way in these areas.

    I grew up in a house with precious little heating - nothing at all upstairs - frost on the inside of the single glazed windows in the winter. I'm damned if I'll live like that again. We're currently paying about £1100 a year for our utilities, I wouldn't want to save £400 and be cold for 9 months of the year.
