Hi,
We've got a two night stay in Poland booked and I'm just wondering how people carry out the covid rules for short trips re things like the advice below?
"A Covid test is needed three days before returning from an amber country, and a PCR test two days after arriving".

What it says?
Arrive to Poland, do a test there in the period of 72 hrs before returning, book day2 test while there and do it on the second day when back in the UK.All my life my mother told me the storm was coming (c) Terminator 30 -
Are you double vaccinated as there are different rules depending on whether you are vaccinated?

If you are double vaccinated you will need 2 tests to return to the UK .
For the first one : From the UK Gov website :
*If you are returning to the UK within 3 days, you can use the result of a COVID-19 test that you take in the UKbefore you travel. You must use a private test provider for the test and not an NHS test.
The service on which you will arrive back in the UK must set off for the UK within 3 days of when you took the test. “For the Day 2 test , you can book it before you go and add the booking reference to your Passenger Locator form which you need to complete before returning to the UK.

Thanks for the replies. We're all double jabbed, I just meant that technically we're not even in Poland 72hrs so strictly speaking we can do tests in that country 3 full days in advance.0

3 days before is the earliest you can do it - it can be done on the 3 days before, 2 days before , 1 day before or even on the day of travel as long as you have the certified result back before you fly back .And as posted above you can use a test that you take in UK the day you go .0

Makes SO much sense doesn't it when Poland currently has a daily case rate of around 200 and we have one around 34,000 !
