Fire stick extension cable

I have an old TV (c.2012) and an old ish (2017) fire stick. The fire stick refuses to work when getting power from the TV - it does power on, and actually gives me a low power or similar error message on the TV. So I have it plugged into a mains-USB adapter. Perhaps newer firesticks require less power, or newer TVs dish out more juice.mobileron said:Sticks can struggle when using the tv usb.
Agree that a 4 gang adapter/extension is the answer. I always take one when travelling - then you need one foreign plug adapter and get all your UK devices working on the 4 sockets on the adpaper.1 -
My firestick is presently plugged in to an old Logik 24" TV (which I also use as a 2nd monitor for my laptop) and uses the USB port for power ... no problems at all. Mine is the 2nd gen Fire TV Stick released in October 2016.

I agree with your last sentence - that's the simplest workaround when travelling.
