Renewing licence and moving home.
Ideas welcome. I need to renew my licence as I will be 70 in November, however I am also moving house and will have a new address in a couple of weeks and will have to send off for a new licence then as well. Does anyone know if the two can be combined? If not which should I do first, I'm assuming change of address as that will occur first.
I emailed DVLA asking for advice but they just quoted the legal requirement which was as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Just do each of them as and when they occur.0

What sort of timescale are we talking about, and will you be putting Royal Mail forwarding in place to cover it?0

Get your change of address done online as soon as you move in order to get your licence back quickly and then apply again when you are 70 (also online).
Don't try to do anything by post as the DVLA have a massive backlog of postal applications. Online changes are being processed quickly.0 -
