Just had a look on fleabay - Gobsmacked that there is one retailer flogging the stuff and makes no mention of licencing requirements in the listing.

  • You can buy a bath mat if it can't be fixed

Yes it's acrylic not PVC, quite right. Will try T-Cut and toothpaste. Bath is like a creamy white. This stains are pitch white and are around the drain. I did email the manufacuter and they recommended trying Cif which did nothing.
Ah, I suspect you are stuffed, then. :-(
Cif is far more abrasive than T-Cut or toothpaste, so if that didn't 'cut' away the top surface to leave fresh creamy white showing underneath, then I can't see T-Cut or its ilk doing so.
I guess it's still worth a try, and 'good luck'.

Unless you have a licence to purchase & store acid, it is next to impossible to buy sulphuric acid stronger than 15% (battery acid grade). And just to show what an [redacted cuss] the law is, you can still buy 40% hydrochloric acid over the counter without needing a licence.

It comes in a large container, then a stiff cardboard box, then wrapped in plastic. I had to look to find it, and wasn't the kind of thing shoplifters would be able to secrete away easily. The Pollyanna in me likes to think the hardware store had a CCTV camera trained on that spot.

I have no idea why it wasn't kept behind a counter, all sales of this stuff should be recorded by law for obvious reasons.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.
