One shot drain cleaner ruined/stained PVC bath tub - anyway to repair?

Just had a look on fleabay - Gobsmacked that there is one retailer flogging the stuff and makes no mention of licencing requirements in the listing.

Ah, I suspect you are stuffed, then. :-(

Cif is far more abrasive than T-Cut or toothpaste, so if that didn't 'cut' away the top surface to leave fresh creamy white showing underneath, then I can't see T-Cut or its ilk doing so.

I guess it's still worth a try, and 'good luck'.

It comes in a large container, then a stiff cardboard box, then wrapped in plastic. I had to look to find it, and wasn't the kind of thing shoplifters would be able to secrete away easily. The Pollyanna in me likes to think the hardware store had a CCTV camera trained on that spot.

I have no idea why it wasn't kept behind a counter, all sales of this stuff should be recorded by law for obvious reasons.
