BT Wayleave advice for telegraph pole.

Ours was an electricity pole so we contacted Electricity North West's wayleave department via email. They were very responsive, so it was quite easy to find out what was involved. I'm sure BT have their own wayleave department that you could contact.simplealan said:Thanks, boots_babe, but where or how did you enquire about it?
I don't particularly want it moved again because it serves a neighbour some 100s of metres away via overhead wire (although they did in fact move the pole once before without any consultation or permission while I was out - and free of charge!)
Are Open Reach deliberately hiding from customers or am I missing something?
Do they not want to talk to real people?0 -
For any issue like this you have to contact Openreach, not BT.boots_babe said:

Although Openreach is part of BT group, it is a legally separate company and responsible for the network.0 -
I once found a huge bunch of keys that an open reach engineer had dropped. Getting hold of them to return the keys was a big deal.Albermarle said:

Good luck. We contacted Openreac to ask if a boadband cable that crosses our garden could be raised up the pole. They wanted £900 to produce a quote to tell us how much it would cost to make the change.0

At least they didn't charge you to tell you it would cost £900 to produce a quote.HHarry said:Good luck. We contacted Openreac to ask if a boadband cable that crosses our garden could be raised up the pole. They wanted £900 to produce a quote to tell us how much it would cost to make the change.
