New Boiler

So we may need a new Combi boiler (home emergency engineer is coming out tomorrow) I have looked at BOXT and was also going to contact the guy that services our boiler for a quote.

Has anyone used BOXT? Are they any good?
Would you recommend anyone else?
Ideally we want to relocate it from the kitchen to the understair cupboard but we also want our washing machine under the stairs (the boiler would literally need to be relocated to the other side of the wall and at a lower height to suit the understair cupboard). Is it possible to have a boiler in an understair cupboard with a washing machine under it?

Thanks!

Subject to the usual constraints on siting boilers, it should be possible to have it under the stairs; ours is, and we have a toilet under ours.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

Depending on where under the stairs is, the most important thing being the flue.

We had new boiler 2 years ago, it is combi - noticed it is bigger than old boiler and while we had it placed in old position as on outside wall for flue etc - it seems to have more pipes running up and around. I think this is more on the water side as previously we had emersion tank in airing cupboard - so as that has gone I guess that is the increase in pipe work.
It is a Vaillant and replaced a Worcester boiler.  Have to say the boiler gets us warm and cosy quicker, plus hot water etc.  My only negative is hubby was away and I found it  difficult to increase pressure - when it goes low neither heating or water work, lucky my neighbour came and did it in seconds - I now have my own instructions written so I wouldn't need help again.

It's possible to have the arrangement you suggest but there does need to be access under the combi for maintenance and re-pressurising the system so you need enough head height and there are other factors which those who quote will need to check e.g. pipe runs and drainage for the condensate (and washing m/c)
Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.
