Gadget insurance - Barclays new Lifestylegroup Worst reviews

I am looking for gadget insurance for my phones and Tablets. I initially thought Barclays would be ideal as I bank with them too. However when I checked their reviews on Trustpilot and some other websites I was kind of shocked. They use Lifestylegroup as insurance provider and their services are shocking. There are lots of negative reviews about Lifestylegroup service and claims process.

Can someone please advise if I have mix of tablets and phones to cover then what would be best option for me.

Thanks

Best bet IMHO would be to forget about products bundled or resold by banks and look for insurance directly from specialist providers:

It's got passed the point where is not even any use for anything.

As for gadget ins. Just put the same amount away into a savings account each month. Odds on you will come out in profit by the time you change gadget. 👍

I have Lifestyle Group Gadget Insurance through my Co-operative Bank Privilege account. (It is a bundle with worldwide travel insurance, and credit report monitoring for £11pm) I have made one claim many years ago when a child spilt hot chocolate over a phone in a car, and the phone was not very happy. It was handled OK with a replacement phone, which was in fact an upgrade to that which was wrecked. The only word of caution is that to make a claim you will have to produce the original purchase documents for the gadget in question, which is fine if you are the sort of person who keeps this sort of thing, but will catch you out if not!

Barclays actually changed their phone insurance provider to Brightstar on the 21st April this year and all existing Tech Pack holders (with the exception of the premier tech pack) had the product transferred to the new provider.
