Great plate for a great car in its time!

Loved mine.  Real sense of occasion when driving, even if it was just to the shops.  It was my first BMW.

I'm sure someone has a nice, original 530i or 540i that would suit.  Or an M5....

Cant help but think it would have a lot more money 30 years ago.  Odd they've decided to wait until now to release it.

    Mine was identical to this.

    Maybe, maybe not.

30 years ago, the E35 was just a car.

Today, those with a good example are likely enthusiasts and maybe more proud of the heritage.

True.  They were a nice car, but not enough for that plate to command a high price.

Yes, quite true RE: who has them now.

It might be as a result of an enquiry to the DVLA. I once contacted them about a specific registration number which wasn't on their site. Several month later I got an email to say it was coming up for auction and I think it had a reserve of £250 - it was a totally meaningless naff reg so I'm fairly convinced it was only offered (and priced) as a result of my enquiry. I didn't buy it.
Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.

We had one in the family for a time; I used to drive it.  Lovely car to look at and quite imposing.  It was boring to drive, as lots of those old saloons are, and not that fast.  Most concerning was the fact that the quality wasn't really up to much.  Lots of the electrical gadgets in it broke, the interior fabrics weren't particularly hard wearing and the engine used more oil than petrol.  I don't miss it.  I especially don't miss having to use two hands to put the damn thing in reverse!
