On Amex Platinum Charge Card there’s an offer as detailed above, has anyone used it, and is it really that simple? 🥴

    What are the terms associated with the offer?

    It's not common for Amex to impose terms stricter than the ones they publish - often the opposite.

    Yes, it's really that simple, I received the inferior 50MR points for £1 - on the gold card. It looks like there gonna be similar offers for September and November.

    MR Points = Membership Rewards Points, which you should know about especially as you say you have an Amex Card.

    kind off, though i sometimes use offers, my amex is platinum, not seen any reference to membership points.
    Continue to enjoy FT offer at least for this year.

    If you don't know what MRs are I suspect you have a Platinum Cashback card rather than an AMEX Platinum card.

    Thanks all, it just says £1 for 100 points, so simple I know. I got a multipack of KitKat Chunky's for £1, it specifically says £1 so wasn't risking not getting the points lol  :)

    Amex have done a similar thing with the BA Amex card - opt in offer - spend £1.00 and receive 100 Avios (my brother-in-law with the same card received an inferior offer of spend £1.00 and receive 50 Avios)!

    I spent £15 in Sainsburys and got awarded the extra 100 points the fllowing day.
