I reckon if you track all the fiat, lets say GBP in this case, that you deposited and turned into crypto and then tracked everything you off-ramped back into your bank. Calculated profit....then set aside a portion for tax/CGT then you'd not be too far off, or at least you'd have most of it covered.
Many new regs and changes to come in too imo1 -
Re Algorand Wallet...Could i install this on my laptop rather than on my phone ?0

Made a small change to my portfolio and bought $500 of XRP using some BTC to fund it. My "off grid" buddy has been banging on about it all summer and is convinced it will soon 10x. If it does that will buy new windows for the home.
Go El Salvador! oh, what?......0 -
XRP is very polarizing. I’ve never rated it, don’t think they’ve ever actually done anything with all these supposed bank partnerships, nobody uses their ODL, the founders have been dumping on retail since the beginning of time oh and I trade 1-5m USDT/C daily, I’ve never traded XRP, not even 50k worth.
It’s always noobs that are shilling it although a lot of them seemed to have switched to ADA now. Sold a bit of my bag at 2.95 after it turned out these “peer reviewed” smart contracts weren’t working, lol.
Had no idea the market nuke was coming, went on one call yesterday, came off it and BTC had dropped about 7k. Maybe the US were trying to get El Salvador rekt haha1 -
Algo is looking as if it's bucking the trend though!0

I have BTC and a few other coins in my Binance account but i can't deposit or withdraw anymore with my bank
I know i can transfer to another crypto site but i think i'll just leave it where it is for now, but i don't have anywhere to buy any more now
What do you guys recommend? i downloaded Crypto.com app but not happy with how much they charge for using a debit to buy coins0 -
I like Swissborg, use them a few times every week. Not sure about fees as I'm Premium, so negligible on my side.
You can easily buy and stake there too0 -

If you leave Algo on an exchange (like Coinbase) then your Algo will be sitting in the exchange's Algorand account, and the exchange will be getting the rewards instead of you. The exchange might choose to pass some of the rewards on (as Coinbase currently passes some of the rewards on), but that will depend on the exchange. The Official Algorand Wallet has a nice UI that shows your rewards accumulating, so that makes it clear what is happening (that your Algorand account is receiving rewards). The My Algo wallet probably has similar, though I'm not sure cos I've not used it myself. As I mentioned in a previous post, the Algorand Decentralized Governance program starts on 1st October, and that should bring greater rewards again, for Algo holders who opt to participate in it. You would definitely be able to participate with the Official Algorand Wallet. I suspect you would be able to participate with the My Algo wallet too, though I haven't actually seen that confirmed anywhere yet. I believe Algorand is making an announcement on the governance program some time today, and that will presumably make things clearer. With governance starting in October (with its high APY for rewards), El Salvador choosing to build a lot of blockchain infrastructure on Algorand, recent revelations indicating that the Algorand tokenomics are a lot better than many people had thought, Algo entering the top 20 on coinmarketcap, and the huge price surge yesterday, this is a good time for Algo holders

Nice Alpha tbf, one of the rare coins I've never held, possibly missed the boat now haha0

But then I look at the market caps of Solana and Cardano (about 5x and 7x Algorand's), and think how Algorand is very much a worthy competitor to both of them (Ethereum too in technical terms, though of course Ethereum is far ahead on adoption), and I think it potentially has a lot more room to grow. Of course this may be wishful thinking on my part0
