Country moves Amber to Green - Does it apply retrospectively?

My sister-in-law just landed from an Amber list country that’s moving to the Green list on Monday.

Obviously she’s following the Amber list rules, but from Monday morning, can she switch to following the Green list rules? Or does she have to continue the full 10-day Amber isolation?

The rules apply according to the day you arrive in UK - so your SIL - if not fully vaccinated - has to self-isolate for 10 days unless she chooses to pay for a test to release test on Day 5 . 

Under the Amber rules If she is fully vaccinated she does not need to self isolate.

Beside the countries moving from Amber to Green it says ;
xxxx Will move to the green list 4am, Monday 30 August. If you arrive in England before then you must follow the amber list rules.

They appear to have added even more clarity this time but even the previous changes stated that it is for people that arrive in the UK after X date so if Sis landed before X then previous rules remain.
