Trouble with Amazon

Hello, I need a little bit of advice please
Me and my partner have an Amazon account we both use, to shorten the story down she wanted to buy a present for me without me knowing.
She made a new account on Amazon, even paid prime for next day delivery and then bought me the gift.
After a month the item stopped working but when we went to her new Amazon account to get an exchange the account was closed with no reason behind it.
Since then I've been trying to get a refund for my item by calling up and emailing, eventually I managed to get through to a nice manager at Amazon who gave me the order number for my item, as well as the return address and told me to pay for it, but then email to get that cost also returned, so this is what I did.
It's now been 23 days since I have sent it, and when I sent it I printed out 6 pieces of the same information to stick all over the inside of the box so they knew it was my order, my account, my number etc
It has been accepted by them but I can't even speak to Amazon as their exact words are
"If you can't get into the account neither can we"
also the "account specialist" only works via email, and you need to email them with the email you used to create the account.. funny thing is the account was created by a mobile number with no email linked to it
So after this abridged version of my last 3 months of hopeless I wondered if anyone on here can help, as I can't even find an email for Amazon to get them to understand my situation, as of right now on out of packet £300+...
Thanks for reading my poorly structured question.

Putting your account details on a return related to your partner's account isn't going to have helped anything and potentially added more confusion as the order was from her account.
Amazon are very difficult to get through to the proper complaints handlers but when you do they are a very different breed and not just autonotoms that are cheaper than coding AI .
The other option is for your partner to do a chargeback... with the money gone they are potentially going to be more motivated to get the account working however the fact the return isnt associated with her account because of the above could cause some issues.0 -
This is where I'm at, but I do have the email from the manager with her name on it giving me the return address and email for refund on the price it cost to send back.. £18 🙄😳
The problem is, it was purchased via butter and they say there's nothing they can do either as I'm the one who has to chase Amazon
This is just getting to the point I want to walk into Amazon head office and take the money owed to me in office equipment 🙄0
