Support payment claim problem

Hi, not sure if anyone else has been in this situation and can offer some help?
My son works in hospitality, roughly 20-25 hours per week. He was pinged on the test & trace app and had to isolate from 21st July.
He was unable to work his shifts and received no pay for the isolation period. He tried to complete the application for the support payment and was asked for the reference number and an image of the notification ( he had deleted the text not realising he would need information from it). He has tried contacting the nhs and the local council to ask for the message to be re-sent but has not had any success. Does anyone have any idea if there is anything he can do? He could really do with receiving this as isolating has left him really short and he pays full rent and council tax for his flat. Thanks in advance 👍🏻

Not sure being pinged is enough. I could be wrong but i thought you needed to be contacted by contract tracers to qualify.
People could purposely get pinged quite easily.
You do not even need to isolate with the App ping.0 -
https://faq.covid19.nhs.uk/article/KA-01339You can apply if you have been told to self-isolate by the NHS COVID-19 app , you are not exempt from self-isolation; and meet the other eligibility criteria. There is a procedure to follow in the link above . He must apply to NHS Test and Trace for an NHS Test and Trace Account ID. This is an 8-digit code also known as a ITS number a code that you give to your local authority.0
