Anyone who pays over the going rate for, supposed "green energy" needs their heads examining
Since - unless you somehow have a feed, direct from your chosen suppliers power source - you are getting an identical supply as the rest of us - a mixture firom the national grid
I am fed up with all the adverts on TV implying that somehow - you are getting "100% green energy"

I have some sympathy for what the OP is saying. Individual suppliers do not supply energy to their customers’ homes. All the energy comes from a Grid which, at the moment, is c.40% gas powered generated electricity. What suppliers are doing is replacing the energy used from green; REGO or other sources.
However, greenwashing apart, it is difficult to see how the Grid would ever become fully renewable powered if consumers didn’t opt for green power sourcing/tariffs. I think what is needed here is a bit more honesty from suppliers.1
