Have you tried? Seems that you should qualify!
Must put on my glasses. I thought it read 16/8/2020...lol. Thanks for pointing it out. It worked BTW.

My email 28/8 quotes last day for Skipton OBS 7A interest rate of .65% is 20/9/21. Reduction to .15% from 21/9/21 onwards. Is the date for removal of the bonus rate the same for everyone or dependent on date of opening of account?

The bonus was for 12 months from opening so everyone will be different. However the account was only available for a few days from 15th Sept 2020. Sounds like you were one of the last to open one.where_are_we said:schiff said:Down to 0.15% from 15 September. I was hoping for 0.50% or 0.45%. Like Schiff we use the Skipton OBS 7A for the £5 Halifax Reward Current Account £500 monthly DD. We will keep the minimum £1? in it to keep on using this facility and remove the £500 immediately to nominated current account and then on to Tandem (our replacement for Skipton OBS 7A)

In similar circumstances, KRBS decided to stop accepting online deposits by debit card.where_are_we said:Like Schiff we use the Skipton OBS 7A for the £5 Halifax Reward Current Account £500 monthly DD. I use Skipton for my Halifax Rewards, however, unlike last two posters, I intend to leave mine in Skipton (at 0.15%) instead of juggling it around with Tandem for the sake of an extra 20p pm interest (at current rates).0

I also use Skipton for my Halifax rewards but I will transfer some of it in their regular saver

I disagree. We have 4 Halifax rewards = £500 x 4 = £2000. Tandem pays .65% (.5% more than Skipton). £2000 @.5% = £10 extra interest per year if not left in Skipton (at current rates). It takes just a couple of minutes to "juggle" the £2000 from Skipton to current account then on to Tandem. Plus repeat this gain each month.
