I'm thinking (perhaps foolhardily) of going to Seville in October to visit some friends and, under the current guidance, I know that I just need to have the app to show that I am double vaccinated on arrival. However, on returning I need to have been tested but I am seeing conflicting information about when the test has to be peformed. Some say 3 days before returning (I am only there for 3 days) others say it can be done on the day of the departure. Which is right? Can it be antigen (lateral flow) or does it have to be PCR? I am hoping that I can just book in a test at the airport before departure or it will be a bit of a hassle finding someone to test me there. Thanks!

As it stands at the moment I believe it’s an antigen test within 72 hrs of arrival in UK although government would prefer PCR test. Then day 2 test if double jabbed. The antigen tests seem to be reasonably priced in Spain. The clinics doing the tests seem to book up quickly so may be best to ask friends to identify a local clinic and book a slot beforehand. If double jabbed Spain don’t require further. You will also be better booking days 2 test before going so it’s ready and waiting at home for your return. Just remember things change on almost a daily basis so check before flying out.
