PCR test day 2 on arrival back to uk.

Hello,
Im making heading to Germany on Monday (sooner than planned)as my father is seriously ill.
I need some clarity on this. Before I travel do I need to show evidence at departure to Germany that I have a PCR test booked for day 2 after my arrival back to the UK?
or do I book this from Germany and show on arrival to the UK evidence on my booked PCR test?

Also any recommendations on travel insurance or things I need to consider due to Covid please?

You will need your vaccination proof for travel to Germany.
your reference for your day 2 test will go on your PLF which will be checked for your return (you can arrange it before you leave or do it from Germany)

Before you travel to England

Before you travel to England you must:

• take a COVID-19 test – you must take the test in the 3 days before you travel to England
• book and pay for COVID-19 tests – to be taken after arrival in England
• complete a passenger locator form

You must do these things whether you are fully vaccinated or not.

Thank you so much. I wasn’t sure if I need this PCR test ref for the passenger location when going out to Germany. My heads in a spin trying to get out ASAP so thank you so much for the clarification.
