I think you mean they are made by a company called Vestel who's factory is based in Turkey.

Sharp sold out a couple of years ago to the people that make the iphone,not sure what presence they have in the UK.
Tv made by Vestel in Tuekey,dont think Hisense involved any more.0 -
Sharp is still a Japanese company, it's not owned by Hisense but they were/are a licensee in some markets.zoob said:

Indeed, the OP said it was a well known Japanese brand, nothing about who manufactured it (and most people wouldn't know most Japanese brands are only brands now)neilmcl said:

Most people would just assume that the likes of Panasonic, sharp, sony etc are Japanese.ItsComingRome said:
