Thank you everyone for your replies, it’s been helpful
One last thing you could try is to ring Seat customer services yourself and explain the situation, I have lost count over the years how often the part would turn up a few days later once the owner of the vehicle phoned up themselves instead of the dealer or repairer.

Is it a Seat garage or Seat approved repairer?

If it isnt then they may be buying an OEM part from someone other than Seat so worth checking with the garage before investing your time in calling Seat to chase an order thats not with them.

Twitter is the best form of attack by a country mile.
It's public, everyone following Seat or the hashtag #Seat will see the issue.
Far more effective than you making a call or email to Seat yourself.
  • Had some success. Asked again about temporarily reusing my bonnet and they have agreed and we get the car back next Wednesday hopefully! Thanks everyone
