Wish app shopping: getting refund for order not delivered

Hello, I have been shopping, recently, using the Wish app.  I ordered four items on 01/08/2021 for pick up from a shop near me.  The order details indicated these items would be available for pick up by 20/08/2021.  The store scans the delivered parcel and sends a QR code for my phone.  The pick up date came and went but I didn’t receive the expected QR codes.

After a few messages to Wish customer support, they said these items were delivered (to the shop) on 18/08/2021 but I looked at the order progress details and they say my order was ‘in transit’ at that date, not ‘delivered’.

Whenever anything is delivered there from Wish, the pick up shop I use is very prompt scanning and issuing QR codes.  The reason, I suspect, why I haven’t had a code is because the items have not been delivered at all.

Wish customer support messaged back to say I should wait longer for the store to scan the items - but I have still not received the codes for pick up.  I explained to Wish but they just say if I don’t want to pick up the items, I should cancel the order to get my money back minus a restocking fee.  However, I find I can’t cancel because the 14 day window has passed.  Because their system seems to say the order was delivered on the 18th August, they are not listening to me.

 I just messaged them again to say order not delivered/ received and I want my money back - but I seem to be going round in circles.  Very annoying!  I would be very grateful for some advice about how to obtain a refund for these Wish orders.  Many thanks.

    How did you pay? Credit card, debit card, some other means?
  • Hello, I paid via debit card.  I have just had a message from the local store the items are ready for pick up.  After posting here, I phoned them and enquired: the QR codes came through shortly after, so I can now collect missing items.  Seems they were delivered but shop might not have have caught up with scanning for codes.

     I have been having trouble with Wish in last month: have had eight orders refunded because they were not sent.  Will consider deleting the app, it is more trouble than it’s worth.
