Using Switching Service to move 2 bank accounts in to one

I'm trying to switch an very old HSBC current account and my current main Halifax current account in to a single Starling account. The HSBC switch has gone without a serious hitch, but I now don't have the option to switch a second account. When I got in touch with Customer Support I was told that I could only switch a single account, and to switch a second account I would have to open a second Starling account - I struggle to believe that this is true...
Does anyone have experience of switching 2 accounts to a single different account? Is there a time period I need to wait to expire etc?
Thanks!

Yeah - coming to that conclusion
First time I've used the service and the HSBC was a test to check how everything worked... Oh well!

Definitely keep a 2nd account at a different bank as a backup, as above.
That aside, I believe you can switch as many current accounts as you like to Starling, just not more than one at the same time.1 -
I switched multiple accounts into starling to tidy things up , but had to do them one at a time.User name should now read NowWhereIWantToBe
