Hi,
Anyone know the best way to appeal this fine in the pictures attached, £60 for 20 mins in ridiculous and all to fill someone’s pocket. I was sat in the car the whole time I was in the car park!
Thanks to anyone who can help me

I was sat in the car the whole time I was in the car park!Sorry to ask the obvious, but why didn't you buy a ticket? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I was unaware that they had ANPR and I was initially just stopping for 10 mins whilst my partner ran in a shop. I would have bought a ticket if I knew!Umkomaas said:£60 for 20 mins in ridiculous and all to fill someone’s pocket. So was there insufficient signage warning you of the parking charges and presence of ANPR cameras? If so, you need to get photos of the car park and any signage because you might need them at some time in the future.gjs1993 said:

Private car parks are bear-traps awaiting any unwary or 'I'm entitled' motorist. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. its legit so only 2 ways to beat it1) plan A , complaint , as mentioned in the NEWBIES faq sticky thread2) on a technicality such as poor and inadequate signageyour vehicle was on site and no permission was sought , no ticket bought, sitting in the vehicle is no excuseI suspect you are on a loser here ( like a lamb to the slaughter )1

You don’t sit in a car and not buy a PD ticket in a private car park. Not knowing they use ANPR will not win any appeals.
Have you seen the threads about the Government Consultation and the DVLA group action on the forum right now? We don’t want newbies to miss out.
