Now EDF are offering ex GNE customers a Fix Total Service Sep24v2
I didn't take up the first 'exclusive' offer they sent me but they now have a new one, as above, which fixes my tariff until September 2024 for both Gas and Electricity.
From past experience its better to check than take their word for it but I can't see the tarrif in the Energy Club list, I assume because its 'exclusive', so it looks like its going to be a manual process.
Key points include;
Prices on Fix Total Service Sep24v2 are protected until 30 September 2024

Do a whole market price comparison including separate suppliers. For example, for my region Zog is offering a 2 year fix for gas at 3.19p/kWh with roughly the same standing charge. Exclusive deals do not necessarily mean that they are offering you a good deal!1

Depends on your region and usage but where I am, Zog Mercury 24 v34 Month FIXED term is "only" 26.25p per day and 3.188p per unit of gas.For electricity, Symbio is showing me 13.677p per unit and 18p day standing charge. (which to me sounds far too cheap and far too good to be true).

I'm joining Zog too but wasn't brave enough to try Symbio

Not surprisingly my Fix Total long term tariff rate differ.Comparing EDF, a 3 year fix, to Avro, a 12 month fix (cheap energy club) its marginal whether or not EDF tariffs are better. It would only take a 14% increase in utility tariffs in 2022/3 to make EDF to be the best tariff for me. 2021 increases are/were far greater percentages!OK Zog is very competitive but having suffered 2 failed utility Companies in recent times, I'm not sure I fancy a 3rd.The clock is ticking, decision time looms1

Zog is a minnow of a supplier that offers gas only (it does though hold a Supply Licence for electricity), and it has been in existence for a number of years. I have just switched back to them for the third time. I was last with them over 4 years ago. My latest customer number is in the 57000s. Personally, I cannot see them failing.rooster47 said:Not surprisingly my Fix Total long term tariff rate differ.Comparing EDF, a 3 year fix, to Avro, a 12 month fix (cheap energy club) its marginal whether or not EDF tariffs are better. Zog will be like a breath of fresh air. Feed them a meter reading at the end of the calendar month and because they have a system that actually works, you get monthly statements somewhere between the 8th-13th of the month, you get a timely reminder "your tariff is due to expire" on the morning of the day you enter the penalty free switching window, none of this "exclusive" crap previously mentioned and emails actually get responded to either same day or next day. 89% "excellent" on Trustpilot if things like that float your boat.You could do far worse than Zog. They've apparently been around since 2013.Symbio I mentioned earlier, well last time I saw electricity at or even below the rate I quoted above, the company quoting that went out of business a few months later, . Symbio also had a spat with Trustpilot apparently "misusing" the service. Make of that what you will.2
