Appeal refund - eBay

I had a buyer open a case which ended in a refund. I appealed this decision and the appeal was granted. 

Just curious…does the money I’ll have returned to me come back from the buyer again or does eBay cover it?

Ebay will probably cover it, although there is no way of knowing for sure unless ebay specifically say so in the appeal notification.

I had a situation about a year ago that was the opposite, I was the buyer, the item not as described, not even close either.
 Ebay refunded me, cant remember the exact wording but I got the refund, told to keep the item and the seller kept the sale proceeds. So it's possible the seller wasn't penalised.
